year one
Yesterday marked one year since my aunt passed away from cancer. I can’t even begin to describe how incredibly hard these last twelve months have been. It wasn’t until this past year that I realized how much I take things for granted. I’m not even talking about the big things like spending time together on the holidays, I’m talking about the tiniest, most simple things...

I’m on the homestretch of this last project for my Graphic Design 1 class! I’ve got just a little bit more editing to do before I can put the building signage on then I just have to put my giveaway/info piece together and it’s off to the print shop I go! Thank goodness I have this 24” screen that allows me to zoom in so ridiculously close. It makes cloning so much easier.

I have one dog, Fefe, who is 13 years old. She was my Meme’s dog and came to live with us when Meme passed away a few years ago. I did have another dog, Powderpuff, but we had to have her put to sleep a couple of weeks ago. :(

I can thankfully say that I am not a couch potato. I renewed my membership at The Rush a few months ago and have been taking pretty nasty advantage of it (minus the break for the small stress fracture). I must admit that some days I am so tired I would rather die than go work out, but I’m slowly but surely starting to see the results. And I likey.

I came across Tumblr through some design websites I was looking through. This is really a great place to get inspiration if you happen to be lacking. It’s easy to get bogged down sometimes, especially if you are working on several projects at once. Plus, I really like the user friendly interface. I’ve used Blogger and it really just wasn’t my speed.

I’ve found here lately that I have turned into a major “habit person” and I really like it. Every Sunday, I sit down with my favorite coffee cup (my $5 Old Navy one that looks like a throw-away but really isn’t) in my grandfather’s recliner that fits perfectly in the corner of my bedroom, wrapped up in my pink snuggie and make a to-do list for the upcoming week.
